This act will provide the lawful allowance to bring anything into public petition.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
(Section 1.) When a nation decides that they want an executive action to take place whether it be the removal or immediate amendment of a proposal, or a banjection of a nation, they can then decide to submit a public proposal for a petition for an immediate executive action.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Section 2.) For a petition to be cast, on must first submit it to the judges of The Global Federation who will then deliberate amongst themselves whether it should be considered for voting on the council. If the judges agree to allow the petition to pass, it will hit the council voting floor where it can be voted down by the council's members.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Section 3.) If it passes the voting floor of the council, the petition must be submitted to the head representative for approval. The head representative does have the power to veto the petition but if their actions are found to be not legally binding or with good reason then a case can be brought against them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Section 4.) Once it is approved by the HR then it may be submitted for public vote. Once on the floor, any member registered on the forum and on the map for at-least a week can vote. Voting will last for Three full days or  seventy-two hours. If the votes against tallied after the voting has completed outweigh the votes for then it will automatically be dismissed. If it is passed then it will be sent to the President of The Global Federation for final Approval. Orders then will be sent to the founder if banjection is in order. Orders pertaining to a proposal or a case will then be sent to the appropriate receivers.

This proposal is now up for vote. Council members may vote in favor or against, or may abstain entirely. You have five days to do this and/or argue your side.

Non-council members are not invited to the proceedings.

Petition Act 2015 Empty Re: Petition Act 2015

"The Cryphite delegation stands Against this proposal; it hands unnecessary power to judges within the process of laws and this is ultimately unnecessary. As seen through many states in history, Judiciary and Executive wings of government should be kept separate on this matter. Unless a nation wished to dispute a discrepancy in a law, but of course that is a different matter and would stand after the law had been passed."

Petition Act 2015 Empty Re: Petition Act 2015

The Loxan administration believes this is a well thought out and useful proposal, and therefore votes in favor. We argue that that it does not give undue power to the judges, as it grants each branch an equal opportunity to review and approve the petition. While we do agree that executive and judicial branches should not be included in legislative decisions under normal circumstances, we believe that a public petition would not be brought up under normal circumstances.

(OOC: Sorry if this isn't making very much sense, I'm really tired right now. Embarrassed)

The vote is nearing an end. I urge other council members to voice their stance on the proposal.

The voting has resulted in a 66% approval of the proposal and as a result, the proposal has passed and will be made into law.
