Clarifying Our History? Empty Clarifying Our History?

Post by Xolox Tue Jun 16, 2015 1:48 am

I know we talked about this earlier on the RMB, but I'd like to make a thread about it and possibly make an official pre-history for the region.

If you want, go through the past and find events, places/buildings, objects, and people that the modern world would not be the same without. We can take these things and apply them to the Global Federation's history through assigning them to nations(even the bad ones...). This will allow us to refer back to them without  referring to the real world nation that does not reside here and ruining the immersion.

We can decide who will get what just by discussing, and if there is a major debate we can put it to vote; nothing too formal. Since there is a lot of history, we can leave this open for new things to pop up and be assigned. I'm Apepistan would love to arrange some of them in a timeline, similar to what he's done with the archive of the history we are making for ourselves.

I wrote a bit about apepistani history in the national registry.

The only thing I really want to have is a steppe warlord who raided and pillaged half the world, then after his death, his empire fell apart.

How can we deny you that?

Also, since New Rhodinia is in Atlas and I have my history that includes Romans too, I think it'd be fair to say that the Roman Empire existed in the Western side of Atlas at some point of time.

That would tie in with both of our histories mighty fine!

Apocryphi seceded from the fall of the western roman empire.

Seems like it'd be the Eastern, since we're on the eastern part of Atlas. Mr. Green

Well I've made these maps. Mr. Green

Clarifying Our History? Atlas110

The Roman Empire at it's greatest extend Western and Eastern parts, respectively.

Clarifying Our History? Atlas210

The Hunnic Empire at it's greatest extend. (Only lasted for about 20 years during the rule of Attila, collapsed after that)

Seems like both empires could do to be a bit bigger.

I'll draw up new maps, then.

Edit: How about these:

The Roman Empire at it's greatest extend Western and Eastern parts, respectively.
Clarifying Our History? Atlas211

The Hunnic Empire at it's greatest extend. (Only lasted for about 15 years during the rule of Attila, collapsed after that)
Clarifying Our History? Atlas310

I didn't part the Roman Empire into two parts this time. I left the middle-atlasian steppes out of roman territory, because they IRL Romans didn't conquer Scythia either.

Also, the Hunnic Empire doesn't mean it had it's borders there, as nomadic empires don't have official borders. The area shows more like the sphere of influence of the Hunnic empire, where the kingdoms have been conquered, or were subjugated as allies of the huns.

Let me know what you think!
