As for the size being 'a bit big', I haven't put a scale in yet, each nation could be the size of San Marino for all we know...

This image was supposed to be the size limit to allow everyone a good place on the map so they don't become too oversized too quickly. We were opting for a slow expansion like how modern day countries take land.

Modern day countries are already established, with no free land to obtain. My point of scale still stands.

Just for the sake of it, I've quickly made a map with the nations put close together, to see the differences in size. I must agree, most of them are really big, and appear to be 3, 4, or even 5 times bigger than the initial claim size.
