Government Proposal
So before writing up an entire amendment, I'm gonna propose changes to the current running of the region in these simple points open for development and discussion!
One Centralised Executive: the Government
-Secretary General/president; leader of the region, appoints ministers, directs region, deals with all matters and has control over all ministers. Voted in every 3 months, regional election.
-Internal Affairs; responsible for organising regional events such as Olympics, regional cup, etc. responsible for regional funding of projects across the map. In charge of cultural affairs.
-Foreign Affairs; responsible for improving relations between the region and others, under the direction of the president. Encourages recruiting.
-Justice; appointed when required to defend the government.
[open to some changes with cabinet positions, but power should be kept with the president]
The cabinet hold no executive power, and require approval from the president.
Judiciary:
In the case a court case is required, 3 jurors will be randomly selected from active regional membership; defined by those who are registered on the forum and have been active within the past month. Jurors cannot be nations of whom are involved in the case at hand. Defending and prosecution parties may choose to represent themselves or request a justice to represent them. The government will always be represented by a justice.
Legislative: The General Assembly
All laws will be subject to 24 hour regional vote. All nations must have a regional representative to the general assembly. The legislative process will be more laid out with time limits in which legislation moves from proposal to voting, to law or archive.
This would also open up the government to political parties if we wanted to go in that direction.
Once again this is just a suggestion open for debate. I think it would allow a more exciting region.

Re: Government Proposal
I really like the changes to the executive and legislative branches, but I think we should hold off a little on passing this until we get more members.
"All laws will be subject to 24 hour regional vote."
Explain this, please?
And I don't really like the idea of a general assembly, but my opinion could probably be swayed and I'd like to hear what others think about it.

Re: Government Proposal
All possible laws it should say. So after some legislation has been proposed, it will undergo a voting session lasting 24-hours. If it should pass within this timeframe, then it becomes law.
I find with the general assembly that getting the entire region involved is often useful in gaining members. After all everybody registered on the forum would have one say per person (puppets of course wouldn't have a voting opinion)

Re: Government Proposal
24-hours seems a bit short considering people live across the globe. I'd suggest extending it to 48 hours.Apocryphi wrote:All possible laws it should say. Sure thing. Key thing is a limit to make sure it moves along.
